After the success of her handbag label, Los Angeles-based designer Carrie Forbes launched her own collection of handmade shoes in 2014, all of which are unique.

She finds inspiration for her creations during her travels to countries like Turkey and Morocco, which are known for their traditional work. She creates slippers, sandals and mules from materials such as raffia, which can take up to a day to make.
